To provide a comprehensive and current cache of information relevant to the mission, goals and objectives of the Ministry, while providing efficient and timely delivery of information services.
SERVICES OFFERED:
The library is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The Library provides:

Inter-library loans for other ministries and government agencies;

Online Public Access (Duke Street only) to three (3) Library Databases - MARC 21 Bibliographical Database, Court Judgment Database, and Newspaper Clipping Database, through the MINISIS Webopac Website;

and Access to an efficient reference service.

Ms. Sandra Romero has been employed in the Library Services for the past 33years. Having enjoyed stints at the Ministry of Education in the positions of Library Assistant I at Mt. Hope Junior Secondary School and Library Assistant II at what is now known as San Juan (North) Secondary School. She joined the Labour Family in November, 1992, in the post of Acting Librarian I, a position which she holds today. In 2008, her services along with all other library personnel in the Government Service were transferred to the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS). Over the years, she has witnessed the transformation of the Library Unit to a fully computerized entity with the purchase of the MINISIS library software. Ms. Romero has spent most of her working life in the information industry, providing quality information service to staff of the Ministry, as well as other government ministries and the general public.
